Made for these moments
You'll want this if…
1
You're sensitive to caffeine
When even a little caffeine leaves your heart racing or your hands shaking.
2
You train fasted, or in the evening
When it burns on an empty stomach, or keeps you awake after a late session.
3
You fade badly in the back half
When you fall apart in the later stages of a long run.
4
Your muscle soreness lingers
When the ache from a session is still with you the next day.

Chapter 01The science of steady output
Calm heart,
strong performance
Taurine is included to help steady the heart rate and blood pressure swings that come with hard running.
Breathing stays easierLess of the ragged, heavy-legged feeling late in a session.
Lower palpitationsHolding a sustainable pace without a racing heart.
Energy to the finishSomething left to push with in the closing kilometres.
Zero caffeineNo stimulant load, at any time of day.
What the research says about taurine
Taurine is reported to modulate lipid metabolism by stimulating the genes and proteins responsible for mitochondrial biogenesis and respiratory function, and has been associated with improvements in aerobic metabolism. It is also a well-established inotropic mediator on cardiac muscle fibres and a regulator of calcium and excitation–contraction coupling.
The same literature notes that further research is warranted to examine the effects of taurine on exercise performance. We think it is worth saying that plainly.
An honest note on dosage
In the frequently cited endurance study, participants took 4g of taurine per day for two weeks. Each of our sachets contains 600mg. We include taurine because of the mechanisms above and its established use in endurance formulations — not because one sachet reproduces that study's protocol.
Caffeine zero
Smooth, and it lasts
A sustained-energy gel that fills you up gently — comfortable on an empty stomach and on evening runs alike.
Flavour
Sweet apple-mango
Easy to get down even when you are deep in the effort — a clean apple-mango sweetness rather than something you have to force past.
Texture
Smooth, never claggy
A texture that sits between a gel and a drink, so it flows the moment you take it. No thick, sticky mouthful to fight through at 30km.
Safety
No unnecessary additives
Formulated so that everyone from recreational runners to national-team athletes can take it with confidence.
No steroidsInformed Sport certified — batch tested for substances banned in sport.
No caffeineZero stimulant. Safe for evening sessions and sleep.
No artificial coloursNone added.
No preservativesNone added.
Independently verifiedTested by LGC, an independent UK laboratory.
How
How to take it
In training
- When taking caffeine feels like too much.
- Before a fasted run, when your stomach feels delicate.
- Before an evening run, when fatigue has already built up.
On race day
Taking one sachet 15–30 minutes before the start helps settle your heart rate and eases you into the effort.
Recommended timing by distance
| Event | Timing | Sachets |
| 10K | 15 min before the start | 1 |
| Half marathon | 5km · 10km · 15km | 3 |
| Trail / ultra | Every 30–40 minutes | 6–7 |
Full marathon — by target time
| Target | Timing (km) | Sachets |
| 3:00 | 5 · 10 · 15 · 20 · 25 · 30 · 35 | 7 |
| 3:30 | 5 · 10 · 15 · 20 · 25 · 30 · 35 | 7 |
| 4:00 | 5 · 10 · 15 · 20 · 25 · 30 · 35 · 40 | 8 |
| 4:30 | 5 · 10 · 15 · 20 · 25 · 30 · 35 · 40 | 8 |
Taking a gel at a drinks station improves absorption. Alternating with the caffeinated Running Energy Gel is an effective way to place your caffeine where it counts while keeping your total load in check.
If gels are new to you, start from the guide above, then adjust the timing to your own distance and conditions. Finding your own pattern in training is what matters most.
Who
Is it only for runners?
It suits any endurance sport. Trail running, triathlon, cycling, football, golf, swimming — anything that demands sustained concentration and stamina over a long period.

Chapter 02A carbohydrate blend that sits well
Maltodextrin + Palatinose
A blend built to minimise the sharp blood-sugar spike and the queasiness that can come with it.
"Energy gels make my stomach uncomfortable and a bit nauseous. Is there anything that fixes that?"
In interviews with runners, discomfort and nausea in the upper abdomen after taking a gel came up repeatedly — as did concern among marathoners about blood-sugar spikes from taking fast carbohydrate and sugar all at once. This blend is our answer to both.
MaltodextrinA glucose-based carbohydrate for fast, direct fuel.
PalatinoseA carbohydrate composed of glucose and fructose, absorbed more gradually.
Compared with a single carbohydrate source such as glucose alone, multiple transportable carbohydrates (maltodextrin/glucose plus fructose) have been shown to have a favourable effect on performance in the later stages of long-distance triathlon, and are considered less likely to cause gastrointestinal upset.
Earnest CP, Rowlands DS, et al. "Multiple Transportable Carbohydrate Effect on Long-Distance Triathlon Performance." Med Sci Sports Exerc. 2007 Aug;39(8):1214–19.
Where a typical simple sugar causes blood glucose to rise sharply, palatinose is reported to supply glucose and fructose at a comparatively steady concentration, and to slow the rise in blood glucose associated with sucrose and glucose.
